Between the years of 2015 to 2019, I was backpacking Mexico, in and around Mexico. Here is my review of how that works.

Backpacking Mexico was not part of the plan, but it was essentially in looking for somewhere to put down roots. I did take a trip from Mexico to Peru, primarily overland backpacking central America as part of a 6-month experiment, but aside from that trip and a few trips home to the UK, I was in Mexico.

From Tijuana To Los Cabos.
Entering back into Tijuana from San Diego, it was the recalled sense of being at home. My goal on this part of my trip was to travel overland from TJ to Cabo. This seems like a fairly easy trip. There are a few places up in Baja California. Mainly Tijuana, Ensenada.

The Yucatan Penisula
The jewel of Mexico, the Yucatan peninsula is made up of 4 states.
- Quintana Roo
- Yucatan
- Campeche
- Tabasco
Quintana Roo is probably the most popular of those as it contains favourite tourist hotspots like Playa Del Carmen, Cancun, Cozumel, Tulum & Holbox.
