“If you want to reach people that no-one is reaching, you have to do things that no-one is doing”

Terry O’Connor is an artist, entrepreneur, musician, traveller, minimalist, digital nomad & astrologer. He is passionate about improvement in growth. Not only for himself but for society and society as a whole.

Terry is the creator of Astrology42.com, a free information website explaining Astrology to beginners.

Terry is inspired by people doing things differently and making an impact on the world, so he decided to lead a life by the same manner. Rather than just talking, actually taking action. He is interested in biodegradable packaging, auto sustainability, eco-homes. At age 22, he read an article in a national newspaper about Richie Sowa, a man from the UK who had built his own floating island made from waste and recycled materials.

All of Terry’s extreme “All or Nothing” challenges are meant to bring attention to important environmental and social issues and to inspire positive change in people. They often appear unattainable to some people, but really, our lives can be adapted into any life to live in a manner that is beneficial to the earth, community, and self. Through his life, he inspires others to make simple, small changes that grow into great change within them and society.

The Early Years

Terry was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire in the UK, and after a small spell in Germany, primarily grew up in Farnborough, Hampshire.

For over 10 years, during his childhood and teen years, he suffered a lot of physical and mental bullying which affected him immensely. Like many, he coped through artist pursuits and addictions.

During his teens and early 20’s, his life was focused on getting drunk, watching/playing live music, possessions, but which all masked his depressive tendencies and addiction issues as well as addictive patterns and coping methods.

It wasn’t until he mishandled the end of a relationship, that he finally realised he had an addiction problem. And that this was simply masking how he had been avoiding how to deal with it, and other issues.

Unfortunately, the realisation did little to resolve anything. He still continued onwards in a slow downward spiral.

The Sparkhunter

In 2014, Terry’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and in passed away a year later. After his passing, Terry sold all of his possessions (barring 100 things) and purchased a one-way ticket to Mexico.

Thinking things were going to change for the better, the first year, his addictions got the better of him and he hit what he considered to be his rock bottom.

In 2016, realising that he needed help, but that the traditional medical route was not going to help, he set off overland from Mexico to Peru in what he called “the need to reset myself: Spiritually, Emotionally, Mentally and Physically”

“In my head, I guess I had subconsciously allowed a year to deal with each of these areas, and apart from the physical part, which has dragged its heels, it kinda worked out that way.”

Emotional Work

The goal was to dive in feet first, address childhood trauma and break free of addictive and self-destructive cycles that had followed him through his life.

During this time, he tried as many forms of alternative, holistic and naturopathic treatments in a bid to face and heal the things he had been carrying with him.

He documented this journey in a soon to be published book called The Sparkhunter.

In 2017, 2 days before his 40th birthday, he was held up at knifepoint in the south of Mexico. Escaping unscathed, he suffered from PTSD and his health suffered.

“This then highlighted latent and unresolved areas of my life, both emotionally and physically and also triggered the clarity and visions I needed that showed me what I needed to work on and how that was to be accomplished”

For the next 2 years, in both Mexico and before returning to the United Kingdom, he bounced from doctor to doctor, looking for answers.

Corona’d

During the worldwide pandemic and restrictions on international travel, Terry paused his return to Mexico and looked at the areas that needed addressing.

Physical Work

Realising that he had taken his health and his body for granted, and also inspired by biohacking and streamlining processes, he decided not only would he cure himself, but he was determined to get his body in the best shape. Having always had a high metabolism and a lean body mass, he used the downtime to create Skinnytostocky.com

Gut Cure

After seeing a diagnosis of “we don’t really know what is wrong with you”, Terry set about to reduce and reverse intestinal inflammation and ulcers and set about creating a food plan and timeline that would be putting the gut and intestinal tract back into action. Income Automation

During the worldwide lockdown, He set about putting his experiences working online, into creating an automated passive income stream that would allow him to be able to focus on creative projects with eco-sustainability, Terry desired to spend his time on projects devoted to making things better. Also, so he could focus on personal development, spiritual growth, and healing, and would also allow him time and space to pursue interests in sustainability and efficiency.
